Livin' It Up!
I became a Christian when I was eight years old and have been deeply involved in church-life ever since. I was in full-time ministry for some twenty-four years in Texas. That time was split about 50/50, the first half as a youth minister;……the second half pastoring a church I was blessed to start in the small town of Glen Rose. I came to Colorado in September of 2013. You can read more about THAT adventure on the page entitled “About Randy and Julie .” (See the menu to the left.)
For many years my “slogan” for my life was “Life’s an adventure….and I’m livin’ it up!” So when I started my own ministry/entertainment business, I just named it “Livin’ It Up!” I continue to lead in ministry events (worship services, concerts, revivals [preaching and/or leading music], retreats, etc), AND I do a lot of entertaining for all kinds of groups. (church, school, corporate, civic, **senior adults/retirement communities, RV rallies, etc.)
**I’ve entertained senior adult groups for many years. I used to tell my friends, “I’m going to entertain some senior adults today.” Now that I’m older and, perhaps, wiser I say, “Today I’m going to hang out with my peers!” (I LOVE entertaining seniors!)
Some years ago I decided to add auctioneering to the mix. For years I had been intrigued with the bid-calling process, but never thought about learning how to do it. So I did. In Texas I carried a state license, which is required for estate sales, liquidations, etc. Now I only help with auction events for non-profit/charitable groups.
Those who know me know I’m BIG on humor. 100% CLEAN humor. You ‘ve probably heard it said that “laughter is good medicine.” That thought was actually shared some three thousand years ago by King Soloman, who said, “A cheerful heart does good like medicine….”
“If laughter really IS good medicine, with Randy Mac around.....there's a doctor in the house!"
